Consumer Organisations
The ECC-Network collaborates closely with national and European consumer organisations by referring to each other, exchanging knowledge, and jointly identifying problems. On this page, you can find the most important European consumer organisations with whom we collaborate closely.
Your Europe
Your Europe is an EU site designed to help EU-based consumers do things in other European countries – avoiding unnecessary inconvenience and red tape. Examples include moving, living, studying, working, shopping, or simply travelling abroad. Your Europe also helps companies do business abroad. Your Europe offers the following type of information:
- Information on your basic rights under EU law.
- Access to a network of national portals providing information on how EU rules are applied in each EU country for cross-border users (in compliance with the Single Digital Gateway Regulation).
- Free email or telephone contact with EU assistance services to get more personalised or detailed help and advice.
SOLVIT
SOLVIT is a service provided by the national administration in each EU country and in Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. SOLVIT is free of charge. It is mainly an online service.
Although there is a SOLVIT centre in each country, the best way to contact them is via this website. SOLVIT aims to find solutions within 10 weeks – starting on the day your case is taken on by the SOLVIT centre in the country where the problem occurred.
Europe Direct
Europe Direct provides a free service available to all European citizens to respond to their questions regarding the European Union. These questions may be about its workings, finances, and actions. There are over 500 EDIC centres across Europe.
Enterprise Europe Network
The Enterprise Europe Network helps businesses innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions.
The network is active in more than 60 countries worldwide. It brings together 3,000 experts from more than 600 member organisations – all renowned for their excellence in business support.
BEUC
BEUC is the umbrella group for 46 independent consumer organisations from 32 countries. Its main role is to represent these consumer organisations and defend the interests of European consumers. Its daily work involves ensuring the EU makes policy decisions that improve the lives of consumers. It covers a range of topics including competition, consumer rights, digital rights, energy, redress and enforcement, financial services, food, health, safety, sustainability, and trade policy.
